A lovely Royal Doulton Brangwyn Ware vase, designed by Frank Brangwyn RA (1867-1956) a well known & established artist & designer, who at 17 was apprenticed to William Morris. It is believed that he was introduced to Charles Noke in 1928 by their mutual friend, the composer Edward Elgin. 

Brangwyn Ware was introduced in 1930, Frank Brangwyn wanted it to be affordable, 'Within the reach of people of quite moderate means' prices were incredibly low, however despite praise by the critics, Brangwyn Ware was not very popular and production ceased by the second world war.
